Kentucky Horse Park Construction Update as of September 25, 2008

We have the first look inside the new indoor arena at the Kentucky Horse Park and some great progress being made on the new outdoor arena.  Last week was the “Halfway There” press Conference that was held amidst the construction crews in the new indoor arena.  You can hear all about it in Episode 5.  Using Microsoft’s new Image Composite Editor I was able to easily create some of the panorama shots below.  New Indoor Arena – The First Peek Inside: Here is a panorama of the inside of the arena.  As you can see they are making some excellant progress.  It is reported that they are six weeks ahead of schedule and it should be ready by May of 2009: This is a panorama looking at the new indoor from Cigar Lane as you come into the park: Here is the front of the new indoor that faces Route 75 and the new parking lot, which you can see they are working on: New Outdoor Arena – The Grandstands Go Up This is the new ourdoor arena looking from across the pond.  Click the panorama to enlarge.  These are the new grandstands being erected: Completed Smaller Outdoor Ring: Here is the completed outdoor ring that we discussed in this post.  It is located right next to the old indoor...

2010 Games Countdown Clock and Wallpaper Now Available

The 2010 World Equestrian Games has come out with a couple of new free things for you.  2010 WEG Games Countdown Clock:  This is a neat little application that you can put on your desktop that gives you a second by second countdown to the games.  It works with MACs and PCs.  Please note however if you don’t have a Vista computer you will have to download an additional appication from Yahoo to make it work.  Here is the link. 2010 WEG Wallpaper for your computer:  They have also come out with a selection of wallpaper for your computer.  I have to say that I am not real impressed with the offerings.  They seem kinda plain and simple, but you be the judge.  Here is the...

WEG to release ticket, sponsorship information

Exciting news for all of us 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games fans!! The World Games 2010 Foundation is planning a string of announcements during the week of September 25, 2008.  They are apparently ready to announce information on buying tickets and the competition schedules.  It looks like they will be making other announcements as well: Adding three new corporate sponsors to the roster. Procedures for the media to get press passes. New merchandise, including license plates, license plate holders and other items for cars and trailers. It is exciting to note that only 18% of the tickets have been sold with the limited association sales that have taken place.  That means there are lots of tickets left! Kentucky Horse Park Construction Update as of September 7, 2008

The construction has been continuing in ernest since my last blog post at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY.  Of course, this is in preperation for the 2010 World Equestrian Games.  Please see my earlier blog post for all the details about the expansions.
