Schumer Lends Support for CNY ‘Equine Alley’

 

U.S. Senator Charles Schumer made his way to Madison County Tuesday morning to lend his support for the development of horse-related business in the state, which will bring money and jobs during difficult economic times.

Schumer spoke to a crowd at Cazenovia College’s Equine Education Center, where the school houses an equine business management program. This is also the site of a new state Center for Equine Business Development, which is meant to be a catalyst for grant development and to assist people in the industry in keeping their equine-related businesses thriving.

Equine-related business is already booming in the country and brings $2.5 billion into the state each year. The industry has been expanding for a while and seems to be growing ever larger, Cazenovia College President Mark Tierno said…
