Horse Park Expansion Pays Dividends

Five months before its scheduled opening, the indoor arena under construction at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington already has attracted 14 new events to the park.

The 6,000-seat arena, which is being built in advance of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, is slated to hold its first event, the American Vaulting Association National Vaulting Championship, July 9 to 12.

Several events that had been held at the park’s existing outdoor covered arena also will be moved to the new arena. That will make room for at least five new events, which will be held in the outdoor arena, Kentucky Horse Park said in a news release….
