Florida Getting Into the 2010 Games Action
International event set for Kentucky
OCALA – The World Equestrian Games have attracted the best international riders since they began 24 years ago. What it hasn’t done is open its doors much to the Florida horse industry to market its top-of-the-line equine medical facilities and world-class farms where many international horses already train.
In the past, it was just too expensive for Florida equine companies to make the trek to Europe and market themselves at the two-week-long events, where marketing fees were about $200,000.
But that won’t be the case after today, when the World Equestrian Games’ sponsor, Alltech, announces in Ocala that it will allow the Florida equine industry, including the University of Florida veterinary college and Florida government agencies to market themselves at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Kentucky…
